Symbiosis International (Deemed University) is a multi-disciplinary university offering its students and faculty a vibrant learning ecosystem designed around its multi-cultural and innovative ethos. Symbiosis was established in 1971 by Prof. Dr. S.B. Mujumdar, which was a ‘home away from home’ for International students. The Institution is based on the principles of Vedic thought of "World as One Family".The University's name fittingly captures the quintessence of the relationship with International students; a mutually beneficial bond between India and the International student community. The university is ranked globally in the 641-650 range, 31st in the world and first in India for Employer Reputation. It is also ranked as the second-best private university in India. Internationally QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024 has ranked Symbiosis International (Deemed University) 140th Globally & 6th in India in Business & Management Studies; 389th Globally & 10th in India in Social Sciences & Management; and in the 551-600 band Globally & 12th in India in Computer Science & Information Systems. QS World University Rankings: Asia 2024 has ranked the university 28th in India, 53rd in South Asia, and has been placed within the 261-270 band in Asia. The Times Higher Education (THE) World University Ranking 2023 has ranked the University amongst the top 1000 Universities in the World, and 23rd in India. THE World University Rankings 2023 by Subject has ranked the university in the 401-500 band in Social Sciences, in the 501-600 band in Business & Economics, in the 501-600 band in Accounting & Finance, in the 401- 500 band in Computer Science, and in the 601-800 band in Engineering. It is the only University to have received the Asia Pacific Quality Label.
The university is a pioneer in liberal arts education and has a strong School for Liberal Arts with departments in languages, literature, music, philosophy, indology, art, dance, theatre, education, anthropology, political science, international relations, film studies, peace and conflict studies, mathematics and statistics, pure and applied sciences, sociology, economics, sports, etc. While offering India’s pioneering 4 year honours programme, it also offers students across SIU institutes the opportunity to study courses of liberal arts, giving them a unique edge by focusing on 360° critical thinking and innovative design thinking, with the hope of finding innovative solutions to societal problems. Recently, the University has established the Symbiosis Medical College for Women. The medical college and its attached Symbiosis University Hospital and Research Centrehave state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities.

The quality of education is good and is recognised internationally. The courses are supported with projects and practical. I have completed my BCA and now pursing my Masters from Symbiosis as well. India is culturally balanced and has many tourist attraction places and each of them have wonderful stories.
The Education system is up to mark, it is vast and diverse as the country itself. The teachers make sure that each and every student understands the topics well. By studying in India we expand our horizons fast due to the system which involves other subjects out of the main core subjects and also the co-curricular activities.
Studying at Symbiosis Institute of technology specialization in B-Tech (Electronics & Telecommunication) I started to make friends and everything starts to change for me and after joining my college, I stayed at the hostel with Indians from different states.
I completed my studies at Symbiosis School of International Studies. Education in India is affordable and smooth that makes it easier for someone to finish faster.
Even tho we come from different parts of the world Symbiosis makes a world without racial difference.
